The real names of the men were Joe and Gordon LIGHTFOOT, and they were badly wanted in Lufkin TX, for about anything and everything. Sheriff Bell "tumbled" to who they were while they were in hiding in Holmes County, but on account of their not being in his territory could do nothing towards getting them. When they came into Walton, however, he got busy and notified the sheriff of Angelina Co. TX, that he could get his men if he wanted them. The Texas sheriff wanted them bad enough, but repeatedly warned Sheriff Bell to be careful in arresting and confining the men, as they were desperate characters and would stop at nothing - they had escaped from several jails and would commit murder if necessary to escape. Saturday Mr BELL went down to the stockade and gathered them both in without any trouble, and Monday Sheriff WATTS, of Lubkin, TX, left for home with the prisoners. 27 Apr 1911 Mr Glen BEACH and Miss Florence LAIRD were married at the Baptist Church last Wednesday nite. 27 Apr 1911 Red Bay - John ANDERSON and Miss Mary CHAMBERS were married at DeFuniak Spgs FL on Sat. 19 Oct 1911 Mr and Mrs H.S. The house and the major part of the furniture belonged to the J. J.
