Biographies of folks from Okaloosa County, Florida

They are working! We have gotten a lot of response from others. I have gotten response from two of the Lancaster researchers!

The bios here are about people who were living in Okaloosa as well as in Walton or Santa Rosa counties before the county of Okaloosa was formed in 1915. Many of the places referred to as in either of those 2 counties will be found in Okaloosa today, so check maps and boundary lines when doing your research.

Please submit one of your own when you have time. The "Rules" are as follow and are pretty loose:

1. Submit whatever name and means of address we should print at the top of you message. I will want your name and e-mail address in case I need to get in touch, but if you wish only your address, or first name listed, that's what goes at top.
2. Name of bio person
3. Vitals of person and spouse
4. One or two short, descriptive paragraphs
Supply any dates and places you may have, along with brief notes of the sources. Optional is a list of other surnames (in all CAPS) that you are researching. Take a good look at the examples for ideas and a feel for what we want. Sharon has done a beautiful job on hers, we thank her! To enter your own go to the Genconnect page and add it. The best way I have found is to carefully work it out offline and then do a "copy and paste."

To add a Bio. You may also add queries, wills, pensions and other items to this board. When searching the board, you may search by specifying a specific category.
