Old Memphis Cemetery (Black Cemetery)
25th Street West & 2nd Avenue, Palmetto
The cemetery is surrounded by a chain link fence. The grounds are dotted with juniper bushes, Washington palms, live oaks, magnolias, and a towering Italian cypress. (Across the street to the south lies a continuation of the burial grounds, referred to as New Memphis Cemetery.) This partial inventory is of the north end of the cemetery:
