Highlands County began recording marriages as early as1922 (Note
Highlands County was created from Desoto County in 1921), before
this please see the USGen Web site for Desoto
County, as earlier marriages will be recorded in that County. I do
not know off hand what you will be able to access at the Desoto County
web site but that is the most likley place for you to find recorded information
for before 1922. However a few older ones are listed here. Most likley
filed by the couple themselves when our county seperated from Desoto. So
go ahead and look here first. Alpha order to make things easier.
