Nix Family Cemetery
The NIX cemetery is located on Bronson Field at the end of runway six. Go south off Hwy 98,about a quarter mile west of the stop light at Bauer Rd.
Late in 1990s it became a Recreation Center, and has a toll gate as its entrance. One member of the party must present a military ID in order to get in. THIS IS IMPORTANT! The
cemetery is way down on the south side of the field, out of sight, and would take a guide to find it. It is in the woods, and the man at the gate said he could direct persons to the area
REMEMBER,the military I.D., plus $1.50
(P.S. It was very hard to find, and you may have to abandon your car and walk a ways.)
In April, 2002, Evan Strohl and Jason Shiplett visited the cemetery and have
submitted this listing of names on marked stones in the cemetery.
Please send corrections or additions to Evan Strohl, WFGS Chairman, Cemetery Committee, or the Webmaster. All sources will be credited.
