Most likely candidate for the "Jno Barrs" who was murdered in Barrsville FL in 1872.
John Barrs was 60 years of age when he was shot. Great-Great Grandfather James C. Barrs would have been 51 years of age...and they could have therefore been 'cousins' as stated in the notes of the 1887 trial in Lake City Columbia County Florida. John Barrs was shot in from of Jim Barrs' General Store simply because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He later died in the home of his "cousin" James C. Barrs or as he was referred to in the unofficial trial notes "Jim Barrs"
