United Oaks Cemetery

United Oaks Cemetery is located in southern Suwannee County between Branford and O’Brien Florida. Follow Highway 129 from Branford toward O’Brien, on the right, close to the Rodeo Arena, there is a sign pointing the direction to the cemetery. Follow the signs to the cemetery located in the woods off a dirt road. Graves are scattered over several cleared acres. Many are unmarked, some have only funeral home grave markers, (FM), and some of these are not readable. No history of the cemetery is available at this time but secondary information suggests these are the graves of local Black families though there may be some White families buried here. When unmarked graves are near marked graves they are listed as unmarked under the name of the near marked grave. ‘FM’ is meant to indicate funeral marker. Revisions may be necessary.
